Free (After Rebate) Cereal at Walmart #AllYouCFK

DSC_1091

Are you sick of all the free cereal deals yet from Kellogg’s?  I sure am not and neither is my family!  I thought this was a perfect addition to my Champions for Kids donation to Whaleys Children’s Center so I ran out and got it this morning.

This week at CVS Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies are on sale for $1.99.

I then took this deal to Walmart for a price match and because Walmart is bound to have a good stock compared to a pharmacy that doesn't have a lot of shelf space.

Buy 10 Cereals 12oz $19.90
Use (2) $5/5 printables previously available
= $9.90 opp

Submit for the $10 rebate making them FREE!

If you don't have the $5/5 coupon then you can use the $4/4 printable that just popped up today and still get a good deal but not free.

  1. Go through THIS LINK
  2. Look for the Kellogg's ad on the right
  3. Click the ad to print the $4/4 coupon

You deal could possibly look like this if you only have access to the $4/4 printable.

Buy 12 Cereals $23.88
Use (3) $4/4 printables (you will need multiple computers)
= $11.88 oop

Submit for the $10 rebate making it $1.88 for 12 boxes.

Since you only need 10 upcs from Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies you could buy 2 boxes of Cocoa Krispies if that tickles your fancy instead.

HOT Kellogg’s Deal at Meijer TOMORROW ONLY

I had to quickly share this with you guys because it is too good not to share!  Tomorrow, Saturday 2/18, Meijer is having a President's day sale and has a HOT deal on Kellogg's cereal!  You can see the ad HERE.

You might have remembered that I posted a great $10 Kellogg's rebate on Facebook recently.  I compared the rebate with the sale ad and the two cereals that you can double dip with are: Rice Krispies and Raisin Bran.

Print out the new $5/5 Kellogg's cereal coupon (found HERE) with zip code: 84121!

Buy 10 boxes of cereal @ $2.49 = $24.90
Get $5 off instantly
Use 2 ($5) printables
= $9.90 oop

Submit for the $10 rebate

I personally will be taking my rebate with me to the store just in case there are other cereals included that aren't advertised but are on the rebate form.  It never hurts to be detailed!! The only cereals included are actually Rice Krispies and Raisin Bran unless my store didn't have everything listed.  The coupons scan just fine as well!

Endorse Rewards Updated

endorse

I got a fabulous email today telling me that my Endorse account had finally been updated to reflect the first envelope that I had sent in.  In case you haven’t been following along already you can read the full journey of updates through this link.  Well I have pros and cons to update you with.

  • Pro: my check will be $65.20.
  • Con: I did not get credited correctly.
    • I sent them an email for clarification and I will update you when I know.  For all receipts I send in now I am going to mark the brand next to the item on the receipt.

Here are some screen shots of my account so you can have an idea what to expect.

You can see here that I have popped quite a few Campbell’s soup and there are many more to come from me too! We aren’t getting paid for buying the individual product but when 5 people buy under you then you will get it free.  The only way that I can see this better is if the scanned in the receipts and linked the POP to the scan.  That would prevent anyone wondering if it was done correctly.

This is the screenshot showing what I think is messed up.  Every time I go to BRU I buy formula because that is one of the only reason I drive out there.  So it is giving me credit  under BRU but not Gerber.  I need it for Gerber so when 5 under me buy it I get it free.  I get more back for the actual product than 5 people endorsing BRU under me and my getting a the average back since formula is $20 a pop!

This screenshot shows you what I was talking about with the $0 McDonald’s POP.  You can also see that I have a Meijer receipt that was after the 11/12/11 cut off for the 10% and is showing 2% paid out to me.

I hope these pictures help you get a better idea of what is to come because I know a lot of you are visual learners!  I hope they get back to me quickly to talk about the concerns I have with this batch of rewards.  It is going to be so important that I go through my rewards and write the brand’s name next to the item so I get credit where credit is due.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Endorse Update: POP Processing

This is an update on my Endorse adventure.  If you haven’t been following along you should check out my previous posts.

I finally got an email update on my receipts that I sent in on 11/12/11 and that they received 11/17/11.  I got the processing email 12/23/11 so that was 27 business days afterwards.  I figured I would have a long processing time because I sent a ton of receipts.  In the future I would recommend sending smaller envelopes each week.

Here is the email I got with the remarks from my submission:

Hi Mallery,

Thanks for POPing!

We wanted to let you know that we have processed your recent mailer , # [8930], and your POP rewards balance will be updated once we finish our accounting cycle.

Unfortunately, we were not able to provide POP rewards for some of your receipts and I wanted to explain why.

1.

Unfortunately, we were not able to provide POP rewards for some of your receipts because the purchases were made before you joined Endorse on 11/17/2011. Endorse works by rewarding users for driving new purchases for brands and retailers, so we are not able to provide rewards for purchases made before you make an endorsement.

We were not able to provide rewards for the following receipts in your mailer:

  • Babies R Us on 10/18/11, 09/03/11, 09/03/11
  • Rite Aid on 10/02/11
  • Walmart on 10/31/11
  • The Home Depot on 10/15/11

2. We are not able to provide POP rewards for your receipt from VG’s Grocery on 10/26/11 because it does not bear the name of any of your endorsed products or retailers. I would suggest logging into the Facebook app and making sure you endorse all of the products and retailers you frequently purchase.

3. I am writing because it appears as if, on your receipt from Kroger Fuel], you purchased grocery gas.  Our policy is that we cannot accept any grocery gas product purchases.  While you will still receive POP rewards for any other items on your receipt, the price of the grocery gas products has been deducted from the total.

4. Because it appears you use a lot of coupons I wanted to explain how we determine POP rewards in conjunction with other coupons and discounts. Because Endorse works by driving new revenue for brands and retailers, we can only provide POP rewards for money you pay out of pocket after all other discounts and coupons on your receipt have been applied.

When you buy a product using coupons that bring the out of pocket price you pay to $0.00 or below, we issue you a $0.00 POP so that you can still qualify to receive a cash reward if you get 5 friends to follow your endorsement and POP. We do our best to assign every coupon on a receipt to a specific product, but if there are coupons on a receipt that cannot be attributed to a particular product, we have to assume that those coupons were used for any endorsed products on that receipt. This is a condition that our brand partners insist on to ensure that Endorse is helping to drive net new revenue for them.

If you plan a shopping trip where you plan to make heavy use of coupons and also purchase some of your endorsed items without applying coupons to those purchases, we suggest asking the cashier to process your purchase of the endorsed items as a separate transaction so that we are able to award you the full value of those purchases.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and have a great day!

Daniel
My responses and/or thoughts are as follows:
  1. Whoops, I did not mean to put those envelopes in there.
  2. I submitted VG’s just in case I had an endorsed item rather than just the store.  At this point I don’t remember what was purchased at VG’s but I am curious to know if the store needs to be endorsed in addition to the product.  I didn’t think so though.
  3. I knew that fuel centers were not included in this program so it must have gotten in my send out pile by accident.
  4. This is the one that I am going to call BS on if it isn’t done properly.  I do shop with a lot of coupons but when a customer pays with Extra Care Bucks, catalinas or UP rewards it should not be deducted from my product purchase.  Those are to act as cash to shop at that store and if I am penalized against the product I am going to be irritated.  I do find it humorous that they say to plan my heavy coupon trips separate because that isn’t going to happen.  I already do too many transactions at the store to take advantage of catalinas and such so no way am  I doing more for this program.

I still don’t have my rewards total updated in my account so I will have to update you guys on that once it happens.  I am still skeptical on the whole program so we shall see.

Have any of you had you rewards in your account or been paid out yet?

Endorse is Closed to New Members Until 2012

So I told you about Endorse already in this post and hate to tell you that it is now closed to new members until the relaunch next year.  I am sorry to any of your who missed this initial bandwagon for sure!  I am happy to see that they are going to make it easier for us to earn the products free though.  I guess when they get the bugs figured out then it will be better for all parties.

I am actually still waiting on my account to reflect the mailer they received from me 11/17/11.  It is supposed to take 20 business days and I have been waiting 25 days.  Tick Tock I am anxious!  One of my blogging friends did get her account updated already so I at least know that they are eventually going to do it.  I can’t wait to see what my rewards total is going to be!

Here is the email that I got this afternoon.

I am writing to let you know that the Endorse team is hard at work on the new and improved version of the service.

Specifically, we are focused on making it much easier for you to discover and to endorse your favorite products, to get special rewards for staying loyal to your endorsements, to share offers with your friends, to access your endorsements while you are shopping in stores, and to get your rewards as fast as humanly possible with e-pop.
In order for us to focus on building the new product while continuing to provide a high-quality service to our current customers, we are going to go into a closed Beta period.  As a result, Endorse will not be available for new sign ups until we relaunch the site in early 2012.
What Does This Mean To You?
  • If you are already using Endorse, you can continue to endorse, pop, get new mailers, and earn rewards as you have been.  If you have followers for your endorsements, those will continue as well.
  • The one change for current users is that you will no longer be able to share Endorse and new endorsements with your friends to earn followers.  We’ve realized the current “5 and FREE” follower model is too difficult for you to earn rewards and so we are fixing it.
  • If you have not yet joined Endorse and you come to our home page, you can enter your email address and we will notify you when we relaunch.
Thanks for all of your support the past 3 months since our launch.  The new service is going to be awesome and I am certain it will be a part of your shopping routine for years to come.
Our team wishes you and your families a happy and healthy New Year!

Endorse Makes Things Easier To Earn Cash Back!

I wrote a very detailed post last week about the Endorse application on Facebook.  I now wish I would have waited to put all of those links in because Endorse has condensed their categories making it easier for us to earn cash back!  Here is the email that I received:

We are making it easier for you to earn rewards on your favorite products by combining related products together.  As of today:
- Your Aveeno Baby endorsement is now combined under one Aveeno endorsement.
- Your Juicy Juice White Grape Juice endorsement is now combined under one Juicy Fruit endorsement.
- Your L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara endorsement is now combined under one L’Oreal Paris endorsement.
- Your Budweiser Select 55 endorsement is now combined under one Budweiser endorsement.
- Your Suave Professionals endorsement is now combined under one Suave endorsement.
- Your Bud Light Golden Wheat endorsement is now combined under one Bud Light endorsement.
- Your Charmin Ultra Soft and Charmin Ultra Strong endorsements are now combined under one Charmin Basic endorsement.
- Your Cottonelle Gentle Care Toilet Paper and Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Toilet Paper endorsements are now combined under one Cottonelle Clean Care Toilet Paper endorsement.
- Your Alpo Dry Dog Food endorsement is now combined under one Alpo Dog Food endorsement.
- Your Gerber Good Start Formulas, Gerber Cereals and Gerber Graduates endorsements are now combined under one Gerber Puree Baby Food endorsement.
- Your Coca-Cola Cherry Coke endorsement is now combined under one Coca-Cola Coke Classic endorsement.
- Your Pampers Baby Dry Diapers and Pampers Extra Protection Diapers endorsements are now combined under one Pampers Diapers endorsement.
- Your Blue Moon Spring Blonde Wheat Ale, Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat and Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale endorsements are now combined under one Blue Moon Beer endorsement.
- Your Bounty Paper Towels and Bounty Basic endorsements are now combined under one Bounty endorsement.
- Your DiGiorno Pepperoni Pizza, DiGiorno Cheese Stuffed Crust and DiGiorno Rising Crust endorsements are now combined under one DiGiorno Pizza endorsement.
- Your TWIZZLERS Strawberry Twists Candy endorsement is now combined under one TWIZZLERS endorsement.
- Your Pampers Sensitive SoftCare Scented Baby Wipes and Pampers Sensitive SoftCare Unscented Baby Wipes endorsements are now combined under one Pampers Sensitive Wipes endorsement.

What does this mean for you? It means you no longer have to worry about endorsing every possible flavor, style or size of your favorite products. When you shop, you won’t have to remember which flavor of gum, or what size storage bags you endorsed. In most cases, you will only have to endorse a single product to earn rewards on all variations of that product.

If you have followers on any of the above products, those followers will be moved to the newly combined endorsement, which will make it easier for you to get your follower bonus.

While I appreciate them doing that because you don’t have to go and endorse everything under the sun now I wish they would have figured that out 1 week earlier!  Unfortunately I will not be going back and updating that post to only have one link for each category right now due to time constraints.  It is good news for all of you soon to be endorsers though!

You can read my previous post and get started on your endorsements and earning your cash back too!  Find the post through this link!

Using Endorse to Earn Money Back & FREE Items

What is Endorse?

  •  Endorse is an application on Facebook that is paying your for buying products that you already buy!  It is as simple as going in and ‘endorsing’ a store or product and from there on out you will earn 2% cash back, 10% cash back and even FREE products!  All you have to do is send in your receipts and you can cash out once you have earned $25 in rewards.

I don’t get get how it works.

  • Here is my example for a store endorsement: I shop at Kroger for the majority of my groceries.  If I endorse Kroger on 11/19/11 then from that date forward I will earn 2% when I send them my receipts.
  • Here is my example for a product endorsement: I purchase Gerber formula and I buy a lot of it.  If I endorse it on 11/19/11 then from that date forward whenever I purchase Gerber formula I will earn 10% cash back when I send them my receipts.
  • Sending in your receipts is called POP -aka- proof of purchase.

How do I get it free?

  • For endorsed stores: You need 5 people to endorse and POP that store once you have.  Obviously you can’t earn a free Kroger store so they are going to take the average amount spent underneath you and and that to your reward total.  So if you have 5 POPs under you at $20 each you would be credited $20 in your account.
  • For endorsed products: You need 5 people to endorse and POP that product after you have.  When all 5 people under you buy that product you will get a FREE one!

Why did they make changes?

If you were one of the first people to sign up for the Endorse app on Facebook then you were getting 10% back on every thing you endorsed: stores, restaurants and products.  Well on about 11/11/11 they changed that!  They switched the stores to 2% and removed some stores all together.  They even removed the cars that were on there!  These changes upset a lot of people but not me.

I read a lot of their FAQs and understood that they wanted to reward people more for buying products versus shopping at stores.  So now you just have to go through and endorse every single thing you think you might buy!  There was no way that they could have stayed in business offering 10% on all store purchases.  They are working with brands to reward you for buying their product and getting your friends to buy their product too!  It makes sense to me!

When can you cash out?

  • You can cash out when you have $25 in rewards earned in your account.
  • I sent in my mailer on Saturday 11/12/11 and got an email from Endorse saying that they had received my package on Thursday 11/17/11.  As of Friday 11/25/11 I am still waiting for my rewards to update so I will keep you posted on that when it happens.
Tip for Endorse
  • Always check and see if there is someone else you know that is endorsing the product before you endorse it.  You may as well give someone else credit instead of giving no one credit!
  • Endorse your shopping list before you go out.  If you know you are getting a product it doesn’t hurt to check and see if it can be endorsed.
  • Leave any of your Endorse links below and I will follow along!  This list below was already way too extensive so I stopped at what I have posted!
  • Save EVERY receipt and shoot your Husband if he throws any away… I am kidding :)
  • Request your mailers whenever you send in a mailer of receipts!

How to Redeem a Rebate From Rite Aid

inputting scr

I thought I would put together a quick how to guide to show you how to input a receipt to cash in on your single check rebates (scr) at Rite Aid.  Keep in mind you should do these as soon as you get home from shopping so you don’t forget!  It’s really easy since it is all online and updates instantly!

You will start at www.riteaid.com and at the bottom of the screen towards the left side of the screen you will see them reference SCRs.  Click on that link.

At the top of the screen you can click login or create new.  It pulls up the next screen below.

Next it is going to ask you to log into your account or create a new account.  (sorry for the flash on this one!)

Next it wants to know what your receipt looks like: did you shop in the store or online?  Just click the one it matches.

This is the next screen that you will see.  Make sure your contact information is accurate and you can input your purchase information in the colored boxes.  They make it very easy for you to find the right information on your receipt.

Once you enter your information and click submit you will see a confirmation page like the one above.  Click OK and you can see what rebates you have available to cash out.

This is what the screen looks like when you are looking at the rebates that you can qualified.  You can see where it says show details where it tells you what you purchased to get the rebate.  There is also a big blue button where you can request your rebates and they will send you a check!

It’s that easy!  Now just wait for your rebate to come in the mail and spend the moolah!

Prevent Forgetting About Mail in Rebates!

nexcare walgreens rebate

OK- we are just about all guilty of meaning to send in a mail in rebate but we lose track of this or that and miss the deadline… BUMMER!  Mail in rebates are a gold mine and I believe it is because so many people do forget about them.  Here is what I personally do..

This week it was advertised that you could find 100% mail in rebates on marked packages of 20 or 30 ct Nexcare bandages.  So I picked up one package of waterproof ones to get the rebate form.  The rebate form actually had a nice surprise on it because it was valid on each of the three kinds up to $11.97.  So I could have purchased 3 total boxes and got them all free after rebate.

Next you want to make sure to read the fine print CAREFULLY so you follow each direction right and there aren’t any mistakes.  Most rebates want you to circle the purchase price as you can see from the picture above I have.  Then you are usually required to send in the proof of purchase, the upc, as well as the filled out rebate form.

This is the crucial part!  Do this as soon as you get home before things get shuffled around your house!!  PUT IT IN AN ADDRESSED ENVELOPE!!

I like to keep track of all rebates that I send out for in an excel sheet.  So for this one I will write this:

Nexcare WP Bandages     $2.99     Sent on 5/9/11     Wait 8-10 weeks

Then as the rebates come into the house I am not confused on what this money is from and I know about when I should be getting paid!   Once you get a system so you don’t forget to send out your rebates you will fall in love with them… especially when all of those checks start flooding the mail box.

Do you have any tips that help you with your mail in rebates?

***It is being reported widely that there is a $2 Pampers coupon in the Walgreen’s Infant coupon book, found in stores.  I personally have this book and see the coupon but it looks more that an actual manufacturer coupon than the store’s coupon.  If you are taking advantage of this deal prepare for a cashier to question the coupon.  I would be sure to take a printed copy of the coupon policy with you.  For Walgreen’s coupons you only need 1 per transaction and it will deduct the $2 for both packages of diapers for a total deduction of $4.  This would then make the diapers $4 a pack which is a great price.

Precious Cat Litter Rebate + World’s Best Cat Litter Rebate Reminder

PCcatattractcatandbox

Having 5 cats it is really nice when there is a mail in rebate for cat litter!

You can print your rebate for Dr Elsey’s Precious Cat Litter through this link!  Please read the fine print so you aren’t the woman/man I talk about below.  I would check out their product locator form through this link to figure out where you can buy it near you.  It is carried at the PetSmart near me though.

**Pet Peeve WARNING**

I am going to rant about a GIANT PET PEEVE of mine for a moment since I ran into this issue this week and it is only Tuesday.  One of my biggest pet peeves is someone trying to COMPLAIN that a mail in rebate didn’t work when they are the morons who didn’t FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.  There are cases where the mistake is very very tiny and you go back to read the fine print and you are like ‘son of a … ‘.  I totally have done that in the past with the Swiffer rebate.  But I didn’t complain because I should have paid better attention.

So I am talking with this woman at PetSmart on Monday and she starts complaining about the rebate for the World’s Best Cat Litter.  I can vouch from experience that it is a reliable rebate that I can made a $3 profit on and it came in a very timely manner.  She starts in on how they told her she bought the wrong size and didn’t give her the rebate.  So I rebuttle her statement with ‘If I remember right the rebate is only good on the 7 or 8 pound bags’.  She was very certain that it was a certain amount back on any bag.

Well come to find out that she needs glasses and I was in fact correct because it even states that it is only valid on a 7 or 8 pound bag before you can fill in your information to print the form.  And I know she is liable to bad mouth a good company because she made a mistake.

If you want to read about the World’s Best Cat Litter rebate you can read my previous post on it.

Read my tips on how you can make money with mail in rebates from a previous post of mine!

How to Save Money on Pets + Coupon Matchup

petsmart nutro food

Having 5 cats makes you yearn for every pet coupon and deal out there because it can get so expensive to feed our furry babies.  I have finally convinced Michael to stop buying Friskies because it is on sale which is fantastic because it isn’t good for our cats.  I have started paying attention to ingredients in foods and the good foods are PRICEY!  Just for a point of reference you don’t want the first ingredient on the food to be corn or animal by products.  The more expensive brands will have the first ingredient at chicken or something similar.  So how can you feed them premium and still keep your budget low?

Where Can You Find Coupons?

  • Nutro does publish coupons in the paper occasionally and are usually something like $4 off a bag.
  • Some companies, like Science Diet, will put peelies on the bags of food.
  • You can find printable coupons online at Coupons.com for brands like Nature’s Recipe and Purina.
  • Always contact the manufacturer of your favorite brand!  Tell them how much you love their food and if you want to, ask for them to send coupons

Watch the racks for mark downs at the pet stores like PetSmart or Petco.  When the expiration date gets closer or the packaging changes for a brand companies will mark down the food to move it off the shelves.  I always walk around to the clearance areas to see what has been marked down as well.  You never know if you are going to have a coupon that is going to make an expensive brand a rock bottom price.

You can pick up toys for pennies on the dollar in the clearance sections too.  You shouldn’t pay full price for a toy your pooch is going to destroy it.  For example all of the unsold Halloween toys are 75% off or more at stores because they need to move the merchandise.

In the picture above I bought the 4 giant bags, regular price $34.99, for 50% off and they had peelie coupons on them for $8!  The smaller bags were priced at $22.99 and 50% off with $5 peelie coupons on them.  So each of the big bags cost about $9.50 and the smaller ones cost about $6.50 making the combined total is about $51 for all of the food pictured!

I always recommend seeing if your store price matches and accepts competitor coupons, both of which PetSmart does.  Don’t forget that these pet stores also have loyalty cards that allow you to take advantage of the lower price on certain items.  There isn’t an excuse to not sign up for this free loyalty card.

Ongoing Deal Right Now!

  • Purina Pro Plan Trial Size Bags .99
  • Use the $5 printable coupon (doesn’t specify size requirements)
  • FREE if not overage

You may get overage from this coupon so I would be sure to have other items included with this transaction.  I have found these smaller bags on clips hanging in the aisles.

Rewards Programs!

Have you looked into your favorite brands to see if they have a reward program?  Here is an example:  Fresh Step cat litter has a rewards program called Paw Points.  On the inside of their boxes they have printed a code that you enter online and build up your points to redeem them for items like: coupons, pet items and photo items.  Do you remember me telling you about the Nutro rewards program?

Mail in Rebates!

There are plenty of rebates out there for pet items because manufacturers want you to try their products risk free.  Did you see the Arm and Hammer litter rebate or the World’s Best cat litter rebate I posted about?
