Hot Baby Deals at Rite Aid This Week

playtex sippy cups at rite aid

Michael wanted to assist in showing you what a fabulous deal Mommy got on baby deals today at Rite Aid!  This week in the Rite Aid ad there is a $4 coupon for Playtex and I used it for sippy cups but there were other Playtex items you could use it on it you need pacifiers or something else. That $4 coupon will stack with the $2 Playtex coupon that will be emailed to you when you sign up for Playtex Baby HERE.  There is also a deal on Pampers to cash in on!

Here are the 3 types of sippy cups I bought.  Now I didn’t factor in the 10% I get for using my Wellness card when I did the math but if you are a 20% discount person you are getting an even sweeter deal!  Keep in mind that I only found stage 1 sippy cups in pink.  :(

Playtex Stage 1 Cup $5.99
- 10% off for Wellness Card (-.60) = $5.39
- $4 in ad coupon = $1.39

Playtex Pooh Cup $4.99
- 10% off for Wellness Card (-.50) = $4.39
-$4 in ad coupon = .39

Playtex Mickey Cup $6.29
-10% off for Wellness Card (-.63) = $5.66
-$4 in ad coupon = $1.66

So those are great prices even without the $2 printable coupon right?!  But you can get an even better deal if you play your cards right!

Buy a $4.99 cup
Buy a $6.29 cup
- 1.13 for Wellness discount
-$8 for 2 in ad coupons
- $2 printable
= .15 for TWO CUPS!!!

Since you get 2 prints per Playtex Baby account you will get to get 4 cups total.  I had no issues at all using 2 of the in ad coupons in one order and I went to 3 different Rite Aids this morning.

Buy 3 Pampers Jumbo Packs $29.97
Use (3) $1.50 printables HERE or HERE
or Use the $2 coupon in the P&G Brand Saver sample kit
=$24.97 oop

Get back $10 for buying $30 in P&G items
Get back $5 for buying $25 in baby items (ends 3/6)

=$9.97 for 3 packs or $3.32 each!

Great Rite Aid Deals This Week!

rite aid shopping trip

There is a fantastic deal this week at Rite Aid that you will have to work hard to get unless your store is fully stocked.  I had to go to 4 different Rite Aid stores to get all of the Colgate products!

Colgate $3.50 (limit 4)
Use .75 coupons
= $2.75 oop
Get back $3.50 in Ups (.75 profit)

Colgate Toothbrushes $2.49
Get back $1.50 Ups
= .99 each

Now there is a deal where you spend $25 on Colgate, Advil and Dimetapp products and get $10 Ups that works well with the sale! (limit 4) And these items also go towards your spend $100 and get $20 total!  Talk about a triple dip!

Buy 5 brushes $12.45
Buy 4 pastes $14
Get back $10 Ups for buying $25
Get back $6 Ups from the brushes
Get back $14 from the pastes

= $3.55 profit just from Up rewards!!

Don’t forget about the Colgate rebate in the 1/29 insert too!  If you buy $10 of Colgate in one transaction then you can submit for a $5 rebate!  I bought all of my brushes in one transaction to send in.  So this ends up being a $8.55 profit after you get the rebate back!

Vaseline $2.97 (the tag says 10 oz but with 30% more the bottles are actually 13 oz) (limit 2)
Use $1 coupon from 1/29 RP
= 1.97 oop
Get back $2 Ups

This coupon DID NOT scan at all for me at the store.  Thank goodness the Manager had my cashier manually put it in since it is valid on 3oz or larger.  Just be patient until the light bulb clicks on and they realize to do it.

I didn’t know that the Advil advertised in the ad (buy $30 get $10) was the same at the Colgate $10 until the Ups printed out and said so.  So I am going to do the Advil deal too!  Buying the previous Colgate products has given me $2 towards my $30 total so that works in  my favor.  There is a limit of 4 deals on this one.  It turned out that you only have to buy $25 and you will get a $10 UP reward!!  That is way better than $30 even if you only do one rebate!   I have my family members get the rebates and they just pay me the cash when the rebate comes.

There was a $10 rebate form wyb 3 participating products in the 1/29 RP. I already have $20.50 in Ups so I am really not going to pay for much oop besides tax.  So this is how I am going to work it when I go today:

(please note that my ideal scenarios didn’t work because I had to go to 5 different stores to get what I wanted and then the cashier screwed up my third set and my $10 UPs didn’t print so my OOP was higher.  I am more than a little cranky that she messed up my beautiful transactions but I can’t dwell on it)

You want to buy the Advil and Dimetapp products in sets of 3 really.  Actually it should go: your first transaction with 3 products and your second transaction with 4 products.  This way you can get 2 rebates and your rewards will print after the second transaction.

Advil Congestion $4.99
Use $2 coupon from 2/19 RP
= $2.99 oop

Children’s Advil or Dimetapp $4.99
Use $1 from 1/29 RP
= $3.99 oop

Keep in mind that you can only buy 2 Dimetapp products because it is illegal to buy a lot of cough medicine.

Think about it like this:  If you didn’t start out with any Ups then you are spending $21.93 OOP for 7 products.  You are then submitting for $20 in rebates and getting $10 in Ups back.  It doesn’t sound like too shabby of a deal to me!

Now you might have noticed I also bought Starburst candy and I bought some Skittles to get me over the $3.50 mark so I could use my $3.50 UP rewards to pay.  Those candy products are also apart of the spend $100 and get $20 UP rewards!  So this Advil deal is a triple dip!!

After doing 3 groups of Advil/Colgate this is what I look like:

$30 in rebates
$10 in UP rewards being sent to me
$25.72 OOP so almost a $15 MM
And $79 towards my $100 monthly reward

I am planning on going back to get my $25 in Children’s Advil which will generate:

$10 in rebates
$10 Up rewards for Advil
$20 Up rewards for $100
This is a high OOP because of that cashier’s mistake.  It should be $20 OOP + tax.  If it would have been done correctly, it would have been $10 OOP + tax.  So this is a large MM as well!

Here is a list to the participating products for the $100 get $20 rewards until 3/3/12.

This is how cool the Rite Aid customer service chat is!!

Rite Aid Trip 01/01/2012- Samantha

Rite Aid trip 01/01/2012

When I was out to get a movie to rent, I ran into Rite Aid real fast because I had $4.00 in up rewards that expired on the 7th. I did 2 transactions and walked out the store only paying only $1.24.

Transaction #1

Pantene Shampoo and conditioner – 2 for $7.00
Use $3.00 off 2 from 1/1 PG
Total: $4.00

Used  my $4.00 up rewards
Recieved: $2.00 more in up rewards
OOP: .42 cents ( basically the tax)

Transaction #2

4- Dawn dish soap 9oz- on- 3.96 (.99 each)
Use 2 $1.00 off 2 from 1/1 PG
Total: $1.96

Tootsie Roll Bank- .64

Used $2.oo up rewards from Transaction #1
OOP: .84 cents

I had to add the bank in order for my second coupon to work because the total after the coupon was cheaper than the tax amount. So I found the cheapest thing to add to it.

Grand total for everything: $1.24

Saving total: $18.63 with coupons and wellness card!!

HOT HOT HOT Cover Girl Deal at Rite Aid!!

Covergirl products b1g50% off + get $10 Up Reward wyb $30

I bought a TON of Covergirl and you will want to watch for prices right around $5.39 because buying two at that price would cost you $8.09 and your $8/2 coupon makes it only .09 for two!!  The multi color eyeshadows are priced right around there.  The blushes are just over $4.  The single color eye shadows are $3.39 ish.  The eye liners range right around $5 too.  Your options are endless really.  You just have to mix and match prices to make it work for what you are buying.

I messed up, running problem with me right now I know, and did my math wrong causing me to only spend $27.02 on the first 8 items and I only was able to use (3) $8/2 coupons.  So those 8 items cost me $3 which is still fabulous but you have to be ok with making mistakes or you will go crazy and the stress is just not worth it!

So I went to another store and bought 2 more items and used one more $8/2 coupon which generated my $10 reward.  The second batch of 2 products only cost .09 so it was still a $7 MM after the $10 UP reward.  It all worked out without stressing out!

Don’t forget that this is also $30 towards the $50 PG rebate that runs until the end of this month.  So I am going to go back and get more of the $8.09 combos since I have 2 more $8/2 coupons.  In the end I will buy $16.18 more full price and -16 in coupons.  Then I will buy another $4 item to get the $20 more giving me another $6 money making scenario after I send in for that $50 rebate!  I can’t believe this awesome deal!!

BUT THAT IS NOT IT!

You can submit your Taylor Swift codes found on your receipt for more goodies!  It looks like each item is worth 10 points and there are a lot of items worth 10 points that you can score for free.  But there is also a shirt for 30 points!  So I redeemed my 100 points for 3 shirts and 1 keychain!

When I go back to buy the 5 other items to get the $50 rebate total I will get 50 more points and will probably get the 20 point notebook and another shirt- Christmas gifts already!!

Log into the Taylor Swift site to redeem your codes through this link.

Print the $10 rebate for spending $50 through this link

In the end it was a $13 Money Maker scenario for 13 make up products, 4 shirts, keychain and a notebook!

A Few Rite Aid Deals This Week

I had my first coupon drug store trip today with the baby and it worked out just fine!  We went into Rite Aid because of the fact that Daddy is just about out of starch and sure enough it was on super sale this week!  Gotta love when men don’t tell you something is out and wait until it is out to tell you then you have to pay full price for it… ugh!

I was so surprised that my first trip back and they had everything in stock!  What a refreshing welcome back into the game!  I sure do miss the $3/15 coupons though <insert HUGE sad face here>

Crest Pro Health toothpaste $2.69
Use $1 coupon from 8/28 PG
OOP $1.69
Get back $2.69 Up Reward
Final Total = $1 MM

Similasan Eye Drops $6.99

OOP $1.99
Get back $2 Up reward
Final Total = FREE

Niagara Starch Spray .99
Use $1/2 coupon from 8/14 SS
Final Total = .49 each!!

I broke my trip up into 3 transactions so I can keep my OOP down.  Then I ended up messing up my second transaction so it didn’t matter.  In the third transaction I bought a reeses because I need to be over $4 and it sounded yummier than .50 panty hose!  I still have $10 in rewards to go back to the store next week.

Transaction #1

Drug Store Shopping This Week

cvs

CVS was pretty quiet this week again!  I remembered that you can print your ECBs out online so the $7.99 that I had ‘lost’ I printed out for this week!

Transaction:

Complete Solution $7.99
Balance Bar $1.69
Paid with $7.99 ECBs
OOP $2.17
Got back $10.68 in ECBs

So I ended up with a $1 profit this week because I got my $1 ECB for using my green bag tag for the 4th time.  Simple right?

This week at Rite Aid I got even more free toothpaste!  Good grief when are the toothpaste sales going to end?  I really hope you guys are staying on top of watching your video values because last month there was a $10 Accu Check Aviva one and they are on sale for $9.99.

Also when I do the few matchups really quick I use a coupon database and sometimes those coupons are regional.  So it turns out that Michigan did not get a .75 toothpaste coupon.  We actually got a $1/2 coupon so I didn’t use that.  Instead I used the $1 video values coupon to give me a $1 profit on it.

Transaction:

Accu-Chek $9.99
Crest Toothpaste $2.69
Used $10 VV coupon
Used $1 VV coupon
OOP $2.38
Submit for $2.69 SCR

Don’t forget to input your receipts so you get your rebates from Rite Aid too!  My check that is coming for last month is $25!  I also got a $3/15 survey coupon so always check the bottom of your receipt!

Not pictured: 3 cases of water

Walgreens was my favorite stop this week just because of the nursing pads and teething gel really!  It couldn’t have come at a better time really!  I was also able to cash in on my water rain check so we have some water put away for right now.

I had to go to two stores and did two transactions at each one.  I only went to two stores because I was looking for my water before the baby gets here and the first one was out of teething gel.

Transactions:

Nursing Pads $4.99
Floss $2
OOP $7.41
RRs Earned $6

Nursing Pads $4.99
Floss $2
OOP $7.41
RRs Earned $6

3 Cases of Water $5.97
Hylands Teething Gel $5
Used $1 printable coupon for gel
Paid with $8 in rewards
OOP $2.27
Earned $5 RRs

Hylands Teething Gel $5
24 pk Pencils for filler .79
Used $1 printable coupon
Paid with $4 in rewards
OOP $1.14
Earned $5 in RRs

I ended up spending $18.23 OOP but I am OK with that because of the nursing pads and water.  Not to mention the fact that I have $10 in rewards to go back.

Rite Aid Shopping This Week

rite aid

Yet another lame shopping trip to a drug store this week but I had a decent amount of UP rewards I had to ditch just in case.  I really wanted to take advantage of the John Frieda deal but they were all sold out.  What a bummer because I love love love root lifting foam!

So since Walgreens was all sold out of water I decided to pick up a case over at Rite Aid since they had their store brand on sale for $2.88.  Let me tell you … it is gross water.  I am soooo very picky about my water and this tastes terrible.  Even the couple of bottles I grabbed because I was thirsty were gross.  Tap water in bottles.

I can’t wait until we get a water system in this house so I can stop buying all of this water.  I want one of those 5 gallon jug systems but Michael thinks it is silly.  But he also won’t drink the well water either so I guess I am winning as of now.

HOLY Cow: I just looked at my receipt an realized royally screwed up!  I grabbed water that rang up for $4.49 and $4.04 after 10% discount!  Dang…  That’s what I get for shopping with the worst back pains ever I guess.  Oh will this baby just come out so I can focus again.

Transaction:

Simplify Gallon of Water .89
Crystal Lake 24pk water $4.04
2 Crystal Lake bottles of water $1
Oral B Pulsar toothbrush $4.99
Used $2 coupon for Pulsar
Paid with $7 Up rewards
OOP = $2.22
Will submit for $4.50 SCR
Final Total = $2.28 MM

My Rite Aid Trip This Week

rite aid 6-20

I pretty much love Rite Aid lately since I have been rolling these Up Rewards.  The past three weeks have just been fabulous as far as my OOP total.  I didn’t have a survey coupon this time and one didn’t print out on the bottom of my receipt, which is always a bummer.  I love the free $3 just for telling them about my shopping experience!

This week worked out like:

Prell $3.99
Zantac $7.99
2 St Joseph $3
4 Stride Gum $4

Coupons Used:
$2 Prell printable
$2 Zantac VV
$5 Zantac printable
.50 Stride VV
.50 Stride Spark VV
$1/3 Stride coupon

Paid with $7 in Up Rewards
OOP = $1.45
Will submit for $2 SCR for Prell Conditioner
Got back $7 in Up Rewards

That is a beautiful scenario!  I spent the same in up rewards as I got back and I get to submit for the SCR to cover the $1.45 OOP (.58 subtotal and .87 tax).  This is a true money maker even if it is only .55.

My Rite Aid Trip This Week

rite aid 6-13

Talk about being flexible while in store!  So I went into the store with a solid 1 transaction and the potential for a second transaction if I could get the items together.  You never know what you are going to get going into a store so even if you have the perfect transactions you might have to change everything around!

I did two transactions at 1 store so I could use both of my $3/15 survey coupons.  Thank goodness for those because Michael needed allergy medicine and I hate paying for it.  But on the other side if I don’t buy it then I would have to do all of the yard work… haha

I experienced the disappointment of regional coupons too this week!  I did not get the $1 Finesse coupon in my 5/8 SS insert as reported in multiple coupon databases.  And my Arm and Hammer coupon was for .75 and not $1 as also reported in multiple coupon databases.  That’s a bummer but a fact of life.  I was just stoked to have gotten that $5 John Frieda one last weekend.

Transaction 1

2 Dial body wash $7.98
2 Arm & Hammer toothpaste $7.98
Bayer $3.59
Used (2) $2 Dial coupons
Used (2) .75 A&H coupons
Used $2 Bayer coupon
Used $3/15 survey coupon

Paid with $8.97 Up rewards from last week
OOP = $1.07
Got back $9.99 in Up Rewards
Will send in for the Bayer rebate of $1.59.

Transaction 2

Zyrtec 12 ct $13.49
Finesse $3.33
Used $7 coupon for Zyrtec
Used $3/15 survey coupon

Paid with $5.99 in Up Rewards
OOP = $1.66
Will submit for my $3 SCR for Finesse
Will send in for my $3.33 MIR for Finesse
My receipt also qualifies for the spend $75 allergy rewards get $20 Rite Aid Certificate.  So I have now earned $13.49 towards my $75 quota

So I spent $2.73 OOP, earned $9.99 in Up rewards, submitted for $7.92 in MIRs.  That is a fantastic haul!

My Rite Aid Trip ($29.08 Money Maker!)

rite aid 6-6

There were a few fabulous deals at Rite Aid this week!  I had to break up this into two transactions because the first store didn’t have the Oral B brushes in stock.  The Manager tried to tell me that she can’t give me a rain check for the Oral B that would include the $2.99 Up reward so it would be a rain check for $3 each.  I thought that was bizarre because I have gotten them before.  No big deal because I just go to another Rite Aid until I get what I want.

I was pleased to see that Michigan got the $5 John Frieda Full Repair coupon this past weekend!!  Some people might have just gotten the $2 one which is still a money maker but a lot smaller!  I was also happy to see that the wax strips were $4.49 and I did the matchups at $4.99 so an even better deal!  BUT I forgot to watch and print my $1 Video Value coupon so I guess it balanced out.

Transaction 1

2 John Frieda Full Repair Root Lifting foam
1 Blink Tears
2 Veet wax strips
Coupons Used
(2) $5 John Frieda
(1) $2 Blink
(2) $3 printable Veet
(1) $2 in ad coupon for Veet
(1) $3/15 survey coupon
Paid with $2 in Up rewards
OOP = 2.45
Got back $5 Up rewards

Transaction 2

4 Oral B brushes
(4) $3 coupons
Paid with $9.98 Up rewards
OOP = 3.42
Got back $11.96 Up Rewards

I spent $5.87 OOP, earned $16.96 Up rewards and I will submit for $17.99 in SCR!  There was a $7.99 SCR for the Blink and $10 for the John Frieda.  This was a major money making trip!  Not to mention to surveys printed out on my receipts!

A couple of days ago I reminded you to watch your videos for May and yesterday the videos for June came up!  It’s time to watch them!  Don’t forget that you have to stay on the page that is playing the video or it will pause and you have to enter a code at the end of each video.  I always watch mine while I am watching TV or doing laundry so I can multi task.  Here is the list of coupons available to watch this month.

My Rite Aid Trip This Week

rite aid 5-29

So of course I had to grab some diapers since this deal was fantastic!  While I didn’t think Rite Aid had a lot of good deals this week I did do two transactions for everything pictured above.  I started with $14 in UP rewards from the previous weeks and it really helped to keep my OOP down on the $30 diaper purchase.  I had to go get the diapers yesterday before the $1 Video Value coupon popped up because my $3 printable coupons expired yesterday!

Transaction 1

(2) Pure & Natural jumbo packs
(2) Huggies jumbo packs
Used (2) $3 printble coupons
Used (2) $2.50 Pure & Natural coupons
Used $3/15 survey coupon
Paid with $14 UP rewards
OOP = $9.85
Got back $10 UP rewards

Transaction 2

(2) Renpure Organics
(2) Red Vines licorice
(4) Ritz singles
Used (2) $1/2 ritz printable coupons
Paid with $10 UP rewards from #1
OOP = $3.13
Got back $11.98 UP rewards

So I spent a total OOP of $12.98 and earned $11.98 to come back next week.  I have been reflecting on my purchases each week and some of you might say ‘oh it’s not extreme enough blah blah blah’.  My whole mission in showing you shopping trips is to show you a realistic couponing habit.

Of course each week I am buying diapers and still keeping within my budget, and just you wait until I show you all of my diapers I haven’t paid a whole lot for.  If I wasn’t buying diapers I would be spending a lot less money each week!  Michael and I will be buying diapers for a good 10 years or so starting now.  Just because I have thousands I am not going to stop because the next kid will need them and there’s no way I am buying retail for something that catches poop!
