Here are the newest SavingStar coupons for you to load! If you don’t know what SavingStar is you should check out the post I wrote about it! I love easy ways to save money!
I am normally annoyed with the characters that they cast on the Extreme Coupon show but tonight I have to give the woman an applause because she was very PRACTICAL in her shopping. I am talking about the sister who was shopping mainly for her sister’s wedding.
Weddings are SO expensive and the thought did cross my mind when I got married last year to coupon for the food but I went the route of less work and more money instead. This woman purchased somewhere around 82 boxes of pasta and they served pasta dishes at the reception. I think this is a very smart idea and if she called ahead to order that many boxes I love it!
I did use coupon scores for parts of the wedding sure! I put together some very nice themed gift baskets for the prizes at the wedding shower as well as all of the favors for the shower were travel sized items! There are so many ways to incorporate your bounties into practical gifts or barters. I give my sister whatever she needs from my stockpile in addition to baby time to come over and hang out with the baby to give me a break! Not to mention the beautiful discount she gives me on pizza!
For years I have also given family members gifts of coupon items (razors etc) for holidays. Think about it: give them a basket of $30 of products and they can take that $30 they would have spent and buy something they really would love to splurge on. It makes sense to me!
Here are some of the sites I personaly use and 100% recommend:

Get the savings value added to your SavingStar account!
Cash out at $5 saved
So the difference is that you don’t have the savings deducted at the register. The savings is actually added on the back end into your account after you make your purchases.
To me it is worth signing up for because you never know if a coupon is going to come up for something you were going to purchase already! You can download the SavingStar application on your cell phone too so it will tell you when there are new coupons! I add every single new coupon because I never know what I am going to buy. The application is handy too because you can double check when you are in the store to make sure you buy the right amount!

Remember that previous post talking about that nifty widget on the sidebar of my site? Well the coupons are officially live on the site! I went back to the site to make that Beef Taco Skillet meal like I mentioned previously. You can visit it yourself through this link if you can’t see the widget on the sidebar. (Note: the widget isn’t visible in IE but will show up in Chrome)
The site is still very easy to navigate now that they have added the coupons and shopping list features. You can find the recipe variables on the right hand side of the screen. I picked Texmex, 2 servings and under 30 minutes for my recipe. I decided to make the Beef Taco Skillet.
If you have shopped at Kroger, or an affiliate store, you should know all about electronic coupons. Well the site has launched coupons that you can add to your card like: buy 3 Rotel/Rosarita items and get $1 off meat! In my recipe I needed meat and Rotel so that is a great coupon to add! There was also a buy 5 get 1 Chef Boyardee free coupon! Ravioli is my favorite right now and they are on sale 10/$10.
You will need to have your card number handy when you go to add the coupons because it will ask you for it. If you don’t know your card number you will have to get a new one at the store.
If you share the site with your Facebook or Twitter friends you will also be able to load a coupon for a FREE Banquet 7 ounce pie! Free is good!
So the recipe was yummy! It was something a little different from what we are used to eating around here. I didn’t cook the recipe to exactly the recipe requirements.
We used 1 pound of meat versus the 8 ounces in the recipe. Michael eats a lot and I like to have something for him to take the next day for lunch. We used the whole bag of frozen corn too so we didn’t waste most of the bag. Extra vegatables can’t hurt right?! I also added extra cheese to mine once I put it in my bowl because cheese happens to be one of my favorite foods.
4 corn tortillas (6 inch), torn into bite-size pieces
8 ounces lean ground beef (93% lean)
1 can (10 oz each) Ro*Tel® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
1/4 cup frozen whole kernel corn
3/4 cup undrained Ranch Style® Beans
1/2 cup shredded reduced fat Mexican cheese blend
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
Sour cream, optional
That is the actual ingredient list and you can see how simple they are.
Spray large skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat. Place tortilla pieces in skillet. Cook 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet.
Cook ground beef in skillet until no longer pink; drain. Stir in drained tomatoes, corn and beans. Bring to a boil. Simmer 2 minutes or until hot. Add tortilla pieces and stir to coat.
Sprinkle with cheese and green onions. Cover. Let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream, if desired.
See how few steps there are to this recipe? Michael and I whipped this up so fast this evening! He liked it, I liked it so it was a great to try something new!

Next you will create your account with your cell phone number, birthday and Kroger card.
Once you have made your account you can add the electronic coupons to your Kroger card! It is simple and they come right off of your order when you checkout.
So now that the setting up the account thing is out of the way you can take advantage of the reason I am writing this post tonight! When you log into your Cellfire account FRIDAY- 3/4/11 (between 6am EST and 9pm EST) you will see a special coupon that will have a value of .50-$3! Once you load that to your card the next time you use your Kroger card it will automatically come off your order! It’s FREE money! :)

If you are new to this program it is very similar to Cellfire coupons or adding coupons via Kroger to your card. You don’t have clip these coupons you just have to remember to load the coupons onto your card. When you checkout using your shopper loyalty card the coupons will automatically come off of your order so long as you buy the appropriate items.

I just have to tell you guys that I got my first website only check in the mail this week and you guys rock! Thank you so much for supporting the site since we launched it on the new domain name. I enjoy finding ways to save everyone money and doing product reviews with chances to win the item. Your odds of winning a prize are fantastic on a blog because you aren’t up against millions of other people trying to get the same thing.
I don’t promote any sort of advertisement to you because it’s a waste of both of our time. I don’t get much for each click or subscription but it adds up eventually and I just want to say thank you and it means a lot to me that you take the time to click through any links I post.
On a side note I will be back to posting consitently when the first trimester is over. I am sleeping a good 10 hours a night and am fighting a bit of nausea right now which is to be expected!
I am an Amazon Associate so I would love if you shopped through the ad on my sidebar whenever you are looking to get something on Amazon. There isn’t a rewards program for Amazon or I would promote shopping through that program.
Here are some of my favorite relevant money saving ads I earn from.
Everytime you print a coupon or load an e-coupon online I earn.
When you sign up for daily deal sites like Groupon, Living Social and Roozt I earn too!
Everytime you make a purchase through Vistaprint it adds up!
I even earn when you sign up for a money saving newsletter like Daily Worth! I love the tips that come from Daily Worth!
I earn when you sign up for free samples through FreeFlys too!
You can request these baby samples and I earn a little too!
If you request free magazines through Mercury Magazine or American Baby it helps out as well.
I earn money when you sign up for online survey companies too!

Cellfire is hosting a great Cyber Monday deal much like the Cinderella coupon they just offered. (You can read about the most recent Cellfire promotion through this link) All you have to do is log into your Cellfire account on Monday between 12 pm PST and 5 pm PST and if you won a $5 off coupon it will be available to load to your card. They are only giving away 1,000 so there aren’t too many winners but the ones that do win are going to be very happy!
Starting this afternoon until Friday at 11:59 am (PST) you can log into your Cellfire account and see if you were one of the random 10,000 people who won a $1, $5 or $10 coupon that is applied to your Kroger, or affiliate stores, card.
I ws able to get $1 on my Kroger card but when I logged into my Mother’s Kroger card she wasn’t one of the winners. I spoil them and keep their Kroger card loaded with the coupons just in case they buy something that has a coupon. I think I am a great daughter but then again I am biased

I hope you use this program if you shop at Meijer! It is very similar to the digital coupons through Cellfire or Kroger’s website. Right now they have a coupon for $2/2 purchase! That is easy money!
Before your shopping trip:
Sign up for the MPerks program using your cell phone number through this link!
Wait for your text message with a verification code.
Go back to the MPerks site and register with that code. You are going to create a pin number for when you log into the site and load your coupons.
Once you have logged in you will want to ‘clip it’ to attach the coupons to your phone number.
During your shopping trip:
At the end of your order click the MPerks button at the bottom of the screen (if you are using a self checkout) If you aren’t using a self checkout then it will be on the credit card machine or just ask the cashier to make sure it gets applied.
Enter your phone number that you created the account with.
Save more money!

Don’t forget to load your eCoupons to your card while you are on the site!

All you need to do is create an account with your cell phone number. I love charity projects!! Every eCoupon you redeem with P&G they are donating the gift of hope.
You recommend signing up for the eCoupon program because it gives you another chance to use a coupon without knowing it! They load right onto your card and come off when you scan your card! I have had them stack with coupons I physically brought in before which was a nice surprise! You really just never know what kind of surprise you are in for.
These coupons are connected to your Kroger card. Sign up for the savings HERE!

OK, so I have been slacking this for all of you super savers. Upromise now is connected to Rite Aid! That is super because that gives you one more store to have a chance to save money on college. I don’t know how many graduates are happy to be paying $100,000 because they wanted that extra education!
If you haven’t heard or used Upromise let me explain a little. This program lets you earn money and transfer it to your student loan. For example: I have a Sallie Mae loan that is linked to the Upromise account. Now even if you do have one you should make anyone who shops have one too! You can earn when they shop if they are attached to your account!
So there are many ways to earn money much like other programs out there:
eCoupons attached to shopping cards
Shopping at Upromise affiliate stores
Getting gas at Upromise affiliate stations
Online Shopping
Using their credit card
So let’s walk through getting you all squared away with this program!
Go HERE and fill out the required fields and submit it!
On the next page you will fill out the contact information form. If someone is signing up to help you save they will put your information in on this page in addition to theirs.
On the next page they are going to advertise their credit card so if you don’t want it scroll down and click no thank, continue.
Next you are going to have the chance to earn a $5 gift card or Upromise credit by making a purchase in 14 days online through their site.
Next page will prompt you to enter you debit/credit card information so they can credit you for making purchases at certain retailers.
Then you are going to be advertised their savings account because it does a 10% match.
Finally your registration is done! On the final page click go to my homepage!
We are going to link our shopping cards first
Click on the my account link in the top right hand corner of the screen
Then go to the left hand side of the screen and click to add a grocery card. The CVS card picture link shows a Weis card so I took a picture of my card to show you what they are talking about.
After you have entered you card numbers you can click submit and that part is done!
So lets add our credit/debit cards. This one is a nice surprise when you don’t realize the place is a Upromise place until you get the email saying ‘You’ve just earned $1.20!’. That has totally happened to me before!
You will click add credit/debit cards on the left hand side of the screen
I recommend adding any cards that you may use ever, up to 10.
You can also add McDonald or Sunglass Hut gift cards. Remember that if you get someone one for Christmas and you want to earn money on that gift! Sneaky I know
If you want to link a student loan account the option is on the left hand side of the screen at the bottom. You can also add a beneficiary just above that option. But I want to explain how to get those darn coupons on your cards!
Go back to the main page by clicking ‘ways to earn’ at the top of the page
On the left hand side of the screen you will see eCoupons and click it.
You will see a screen like that gives you the option to ‘select eCoupon’. I always select them all because you never know when you are going to buy something and I would rather have them there than not have them.
After you have selected all of the coupons you will click the orange box that says ‘activate coupons’.
Once you do that they are loaded onto your cards! No clipping needed!
OK, I hope I didn’t lose anyone throughout that post but I wanted to make sure it was detailed with the instructions because there are a lot of steps. I will try and send you a reminder to load the new coupons to your account once they expire.

Meijer is rolling out a new program for clipless coupons! It’s a lot like Kroger’s digital coupons except it is connected to your phone number. I would say it is somewhere between Cellfire and Kroger!
If you use the self checkout like me be sure to click the Mperks button on the screen and enter your phone number. You must have a text enabled phone to sign up for this program. When you sign up they will send an activation code to your phone that you must enter into the site to get your account set up.
And they are offering a $5/5 purchase when you sign up by the 28th!!
