Meijer Shopping: AWESOME Colgate & Soft Soap Deal

(Not pictured: 8 cans of Ortega Black Beans)

Meijer was good to me with the inserts that came out today because it complemented the catalina deal, rebate and coupons.  It was as if the stars aligned for this sale!  :)

Kraft Shredded Cheese $2
Use .50/2 printable reset!!
= $1.50 each
(This is my buy price for cheese anymore!)

KY Jelly $3.06
Use $3 from 1/8 ss
= .06
(Hill Rd was plenty stocked.  I noticed that they changed the packaging!)

2 Lipton Tea $4.44
Use $3/2 mPerks
Stack with (2) .50 from 1/29 rp
or stack with (2) $1 printables no longer available?
= FREE
(The second paper coupon will say NOT VALID when it scans so make sure you explain that it can’t be the face value of the coupon.)

4 Lipton Soup Secrets $4
Use $1/4 Mealbox
Stack with (4) .40 from 1/29 rp
= .15 each!

4 Ortega Black Beans $2.64
Use $1/4 mealbox
Stack with (2) .50 from 1/15 ss
= FREE
(The coupons will cause problems so make sure you prompt them saying the second .50 can’t double and will need to be adjusted)

With the Ortega deal there are TONS of good prices!

  • Taco Seasoning .54
  • Sauce and Shells were $1.29-$1.49

I use a free product coupon for the 20 oz Coke from My Coke Rewards.

There were other deals too I saw.

Knorr Pasta Sides are $1.09
Use .50/2 from 1/29 RP
= .55 each
(They are on sale for $1 at Kroger so you are saving .05 each)

Knorr Recipe Mixes $1
Use .50/2 from 1/29 RP
= .50 each
(I can’t justify the sodium content of these and they really just don’t taste good to me)

***UPDATE 2/1/12***

2 Knorr Pasta Sides are $2.18
Use .50/2 from 1/29 RP
Stack with .50/2 mPerk
= .34 each

2 Knorr Recipe Mixes $2
Use .50/2 from 1/29 RP
Stack with .50/2 mPerk
= .25 each

2 Lipton Soup Secrets $2
Use (2) .40 from 1/29 RP
Stack with .75/2 mPerk
= 2 FREE
(You will have problems with this coupon because it is technically an overage scenario.  Just explain it needs to be adjusted down)

Deans Dip .99
Use $1/2 from 1/15 ss
= .49 each

Chi Chis Salsa .99
Use $1/2 printable
= .49 each

There is a $2 Ecotrin mPerks and a $1.50 coupon  from this weekend but I didn’t check the price while I was there.  I was too consumed by getting the Colgate prices!  :)

There is a catalina offer I saw on the Mealbox site and in store for buying 2 marinades and getting a catalina for $1.50.  It was quite confusing while I was at the store as to which were included.  I can confirm that the Soy Sauces ARE NOT included.  The marinades are $2.56 and the sauces are $1.56.  Darn!

I looked for the Land O Lakes Fresh Buttery Spread at Hill Rd and they didn’t carry it.  Bummer!  Just in case your store does you can grab this deal.

Land O Lakes Fresh Buttery Spread $1.50
Use .50 from 1/8 SS
= .50 OOP
Submit for the B1G1 rebate form HERE
= .25 each after the rebate!

25oz Pamolive Soap $2.79

28oz Soft Soap $4.39

3pk Irish Spring Bar Soap $1.99
Colgate Total $2.76
Colgate $1.89
Colgate Tarter Protection $1.51
Irish Spring Body Wash $3.79 (clearance $2.65)

I buy 6 papers so here are the scenarios that I did with the coupons that I have.  Keep in mind that this catalina DOES NOT roll!!  I learned the hard way to test it for you guys.  I usually never test things with a high value like $4- ugh!  This catalina could very well roll and it was just my bad that messed things up.  I will explain in after the transaction what I am talking about.  I got my catalina and rebate confused a little and I learned my lesson for sure!

Also, I am hoping that my math reaches $10 on one of my orders because I grabbed the tarter protection because it was marked $1.89 on the shelf and rang up $1.51!  Ugh again!  I never get mad that things are cheaper than marked but in this case I had spent so long doing math in the store that I was ready to get my stuff and leave!

You can find all of the coupons for these deals and the rebate form in the 1/29 SS.  Limit of 1 per household and the $10 must be in 1 transaction!

Transaction #1

1 Colgate $1.89
2 Colgate Tarter $3.02

1 Pamolive Soft Touch $2.79

= $12.40 so it qualifies for $5 rebate

Coupons to Use:

(3) .50 coupons for Colgate
(2) .40 coupons for Soft Soap
(1) .50 coupon from large Pamolive

= -$4.10 in coupons

(3) .25 for Pamolive

= -$4.25 in coupons
= $6.36 OOP
Get back $4 catalina Pamolive is NOT included in the catalina but it is included in the rebate. So I messed up and the catalina might roll.  I can still submit for the rebate and everything cost me $1.36.
= $2.36 after catalina
= $2.64 Money Maker after Rebate!!

Transaction #3

4 Irish Spring Body Washes (clearance) $10.60

(4) $1 coupons for Irish Spring Body Wash

Transaction #4

1 Colgate $1.89
2 Irish Spring Body Washes $5.30
1 Small Pamolive $1.29

= $8.48 (so this is the one I messed up on)  :(

Coupons to Use:

(1) .50 for Colgate
(2) $1 for Body Wash
(1) .25 for Pamolive

= -$3.25 in coupons
Get back $4 catalina This one does not qualify for the catalina because I only bought 3 items that count and it doesn’t count towards the $5 rebate because I didn’t get to $10.  I probably should slow down huh?!
= .75 MM after catalina

**UPDATE 2/3/12** Apparently Pamolive is apart of the catalina deal!  I wrote the Catalina Marketing company on Sunday that my catalina didn’t print and sure enough on Thursday I received a $4 catalina in the mail!

Transaction #5

(4) Irish Spring Bar Soaps $7.96
(2) Small Pamolive $2.58

(4) .50 for Irish Spring bars
(2) .25 for Pamolive

= -$4
= $6.54 OOP
Get back $4 catalina
= $2.54 after catlina
= $2.46 MM after $5 rebate!

They are right there with the Colgate/Pamolive rebate and other coupons like Irish Spring in the 1/29 RP. It took up about half a page at the top of my insert.
