Copaxone < Tysabri

orange ya curious about multiple sclerosis

It has been just about a month since I have posted an update on my progress and after this past weekend I think it is time.  To sum it all up I am just about ready to throw in the towel.

I am beyond frustrated with the lack of progress of the biweekly steroids with the daily Copaxone injections.  There has been zero progress and things are pretty bad the weekend before I go for my steroid treatment.  Due to the lack of improvement I am only hoping to make it to the end of the year with the current medication path and breast feeding.

Apparently the ‘safer’ drug isn’t the best drug if you want results.

Let me just tell you about my trip to Walmart on Friday because it was as close as I have ever been to my breaking point.  I went to Walmart on Friday to get the groceries for my 30 meals project and some Del Monte peaches for a new variation of lactation cookies.  Well I obviously wasn’t meant to complete my shopping trip because halfway through my legs started to give out from under me and my right leg started dragging when I was walking.  I am sure I was a sight to the other shoppers because I had the baby with me.

The worst part wasn’t just that I was having the hardest time standing up and walking but it was also bad because at the end of my trip Little Mike started to fuss because he was hungry.  So while I was attempting to stay standing up I was also trying to make his bottle and feed him the bottle in the checkout.  But on top of that I was putting my bags into my cart, attempting to stand while feeding him his bottle.

Once the checkout was finished he still wasn’t done with his bottle so I had to continue to stand and feed him his bottle.  You might be thinking ‘why didn’t you sit down and feed him his bottle?’  Well I didn’t want to lift his car seat off the cart and risk not be able to lift it back on the cart while in public.

After his bottle got eaten a little bit more I pushed the cart to my car to load the groceries in the back.  Thank goodness I have an SUV because I was able to sit on the back of my car, left hand still giving him his bottle and my right hand tossing my bags into the back of the car.  I was able to lift him into the car and wobble over to the cart corral and back to the driver’s side of my car.

Now for the downfall of having an SUV: I have to lift my right leg to get in the car!  What a drag (no pun intended).  Once I got into the car I called Michael in tears because I was so frustrated with the ordeal I had just gone through.  But we still had to go to the nursing home to see his Grand parents and have sick old ladies touch the baby’s face… ugh.  Let me tell you that was the last thing in the world I wanted to do Friday night.

One of the symptoms I absolutely hate that is getting worse is how weak my legs are getting, especially in the shower.  I have just about given up on showers and will start taking baths I guess.  I don’t want to though because the women in my family tend to get UTIs or yeast infections when they take baths.  Some days are worse than others but it usually always happens in the shower.  In fact, I broke the towel bar in the shower because I was holding onto it.

Medication Options:

  • Copaxone- daily injections, takes 6 months to work but can breast feed
  • Tysabri- monthly infusion, takes 2-3 months to work, more risks, no breast feeding and hopefully I haven’t made antibodies to it or it is out of the picture
  • Pregnancy- Believe it or not this is the one Michael leans towards.  He really wants another baby and close to Little Mike , oh boy.  I just don’t know.

Cherish your little problems because it can always be worse and be thankful for everyday you wake up and get to have another day to live.  You complain a whole lot less when you go through something because you don’t want to waste your good days complaining.  I would gladly let someone walk in my shoes ( or hobble :) ) just to let them see what it was like if I could.

Crystal Deodorant Review #CrystalRollOn #CBias

crystal deodorant

Are you a natural product person?  Did you know that there is a deodorant that is all natural now?  Maybe you did but I didn’t until I reviewed Crystal Deodorant.  This was something completely new for me to try because I have never used a roll on and I really don’t try out other deodorants.

Crystal Essence Roll-On - Pomegranate

There is even $1 coupon available of their website making this deodorant $2.48 at Walmart.  When I went to my Walmart they only carried the unscented version which was a slight bummer for my Husband because he loves smells and usually will comment on my deodorant scent, especially when I change it. When I looked at the Crystal Body Deodorant site I saw that there are other scents available though: Chamomile and Green Tea, Lavender and Green Tea and Pomegranate.

I think I need a clinical strength deodorant now because I did a comparison of this roll on deodorant with my Dove and Degree brands that I already had in the house and all three still had me a little stinky at the end of the day.  So I would say that this all natural deodorant isn’t for those who need stronger protection but for all of the normal people out there it works because I have read a TON of positive reviews.  I’m not quite sure if I am still balancing hormones at 14 weeks postpartum though either.  I guess I can try again later down the road and see if anything changes.

Crystal Deodorant

  • Doesn’t have Aluminum Clorohydrate
  • No Aluminum Zirconium
  • No Phthataltes
  • No Parabens
I received compensation for my review of this product from Collective Bias.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Christmas Cards Without Cats?

tiny prints

I know that is a bizarre title for a post but this is the first year that we are making Christmas cards that won’t have cats on them because they will now feature the baby!  How exciting right?!  I have been thinking about different pictures that I will take of him to see which one turns out the best and work with that.

My Ideas:

  1. baby in a stocking
  2. baby in Santa’s hat

I know that I didn’t come up with these ideas by myself but they sound pretty darn cute!  I am going to use one of my favorite card making companies to order our cards this season, like Tiny Prints.  You can take a look at their picture Christmas cards and figure out what you want to do for your own cards.

I might go the more creative route with some of the designs they have this year, like the two I included in this post.  These are my two favorite designs, tri fold card or the ornament card.  The ornament one even comes with the ribbon!  I think that one is so cool!

If you want to get some festive address labels then you can while you are on the site too.  I love address labels and I swear I order them all of the time because I hate writing my information on the envelope when I can just stick a sticker on it.  Yes, I am lazy!  Don’t forget you can get party invites too and they even have some with the cool round shape!

I was provided 50 cards to facilitate my review of their holiday cards.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Motherhood: 3 Month Update

chapped lips

Can you believe how fast kids grow up?  I do not know how I have managed to survive 14 weeks now!  Last week was his official 3 month birthday and we measured him for grins and he has grown 2 more inches!  He is now 26 inches long and in 6-9 month sleeps because he is too long and his feet are too big!

I did go to a Mom 2 Mom sale last weekend and got a great deal!  I spent $22 on 22 clothing items and that awesome Boon Frog Bath Scoop!  That bath scoop only cost me $5 and that thing can retail for about $35!  The woman that sold it to me also sold her Bumbo and tray for $10 but I wasn’t the lucky person for that prize.  If you are smart you will only buy clothes from these sales because they outgrow everything so quick!  I rarely buy him full priced clothes unless it is something really cool like the My Aunt is the Best onesie I picked up the other day.

He is even starting to be too big for size 2 diapers but I am finishing out the pack of 100 that I opened just so they don’t go to waste!  He grew out of diaper sizes so fast (newborn 1 month, size 1 a month and size 2 a week longer than 1 month).  I had no idea that it would be that quick when I was stocking up on diapers and I messed up with the whole planning thing.  I had 14 jumbo packs to exchange because they are size 1 and 2.  Apparently babies in my Mommy group stay in size 3 for a while so I should be good since I have about 4 months of that size and 10 more packs I can exchange.

Little Mike is now rolling over and playing in his Jumperoo too!  The rolling over thing is cute during the day but it is presenting a little problem at night because he will pull himself out of the swaddle if I am only using the wrap and not the full swaddle sack.  He had outgrown his swaddle sacks so I was just using the swaddle portion from my Halo swaddle and he is too smart for those.  So I finally ordered him a size large, it goes to 22 pounds, so he will still sleep good at night.

He is still confused on night and day sometimes which can be very tiring but he will get it one day!  Last night was beautiful because he slept 9 hours straight!  That gives me a chance to write some things since I am not sleeping every nap time during the day.  He normally goes to bed between 10pm and midnight which makes for a lot of sleeping all morning and some of the afternoon.

My poor guy has chapped lips!  It looks like he was in a fight or we just aren’t good parents but I swear he woke up one morning looking like this!  He has two little cracks in his lips and my Mommy group said they have used Vaseline on their babies so I am thinking I am going to give that a try.  We did set up his humidifier in his room because he was sounding a little dry when breathing too so that could just help without putting anything on his lips.

Now that he has all sorts of rolls he is getting these chaffing spots in between them on his neck.  I first noticed it because he smelled TERRIBLE!  And he even smelled bad after I had given him a bath so I was so confused.  It turns out that these spots around his neck were smelling like moldy crotch, gross.  I am so happy to have figured that out and after I wash his neck I put him down for tummy time to air it out.  He loves tummy time now that he is wanting to move around everywhere.  All these things you don’t find out until you have the baby!

Weight loss is still maintaining at a great number of pounds lost but I can not wait to be able to go to the gym and tone this body back up!  With Halloween candy in the house and the fact that I can’t walk all that well I am terrified that I am going to start gaining weight and lose all of my progress!  This midsection leaves a lot to be desired for a woman who likes to be toned!

Breast feeding is still going OK and I am still supplementing with formula.  I have days where he only gets two bottles (10 ounces) and sometimes he gets three bottles (14 ounces).  Usually he takes his first bottle in the afternoon because he is just very very unhappy that nothing is coming out of Mom.  Breast feeding is a lot of work but bottle feeding is way more work in my opinion.  I hate washing bottles and buying formula!

Until next month when he has his 4 month check up and more vaccines!

The UPS Store iMemories #CBias #PreservingMemories

baby pictures

Does the above picture bring back memories of oodles of pictures laying around your house and all of the photo albums.  The word on the street is that the first kid has so many more pictures than all of the rest of the children you will end up having because of a few reasons: you have the money and you have the time to take all of the pictures.  I can see how that could be true!

Did you know that there is a new service at The UPS Store called iMemories?  You can take your old VHS recordings and even loose pictures and turn them into a DVD!  This would have been great for Michael recently because his parents recorded EVERYTHING and his Dad made him a new video of all the different ones but the quality was less than stellar. The difference between the quality of do it yourself and iMemories is the digital retouching. Disney advertises this in the classic Disney movies they are releasing now so you know they are higher quality than before.

Go to the iMemories website and create you free account to get started.  As you can see from the picture above it is really simple to get the process started.

  1. Create your free account
  2. Ship your media
  3. Receive confirmation via email
  4. They convert your media
  5. You review your order and order the custom DVDs!
  6. Get your media back
  7. Repeat when you are ready!

When I selected to have my package packed and shipped from The UPS Store you get this form that prints out that you fill out and include in your iMemories package.  You just have to find the closest store to you and take your memories and they do the work for you.  If you don’t print the form out then you will have to fill it out once you get to the store.

I just have to say that I went into The UPS Store #3573 in Grand Blanc and they were busy!  The were busy and hadn’t heard of the iMemories service since it is new so it was a learning process for everyone.  The two workers in the store were great at trying to figure out where to ship my stuff to and were just enjoyable people to deal with…and I was there a while but Little Mike didn’t get hungry until the very end!

While I was there I also needed to print out the Baptism invites so I did that while I waited and they loved them.  I just have to glue them to some card stock and send them out!  I don’t even think they talked about how cute he was because they were giving me good customer service either.  I mean she is a Mom herself and he is a stud. :)

There are so many features with the iMemories that I am 95% sure that I will be doing this again next Christmas so I can put together DVDs for all of the Grandparents.  Think about how cool this will be now to have at your open house just playing so that you don’t have to worry about making those picture boards!  What would we do without technology right?!

I didn’t know at first but you can get DVDs made right from the comfort of your own home too.  I am pretty excited that they give you the option of taking digital photos and working them into a dvd because I have two cds of pictures from our wedding that I would love to turn into a DVD since we didn’t hire a videographer!  Now I just have to pick 500 out of the 900 pictures that I have on those cds!  Or get 2 made.

You should really check out the slide show of my trip and looking around their site to see all of the information I found!   Who doesn’t like looking at pictures anyways? You can find all of the pictures through this link!

J3LL Watch Review & #Giveaway Ends 10/29

I am now rethinking some of my few jewelry choices since having this baby.  My current watch is made with a stretchy material and is gorgeous but the moment he gets a hold of it and pulls I am screwed!  J3ll makes a silicone watch that I know he isn’t going to break!

They are very bold and colorful and while I say that I would wear them not everyone will I know that.  I asked my Mom, Sister and a friend their thoughts and they were with me saying that they liked the watches and would wear them.  Believe it or not but my Mom was the most excited and thought they were so cool!

So you can make your own watch by picking from their 12 available colors through this link.  Not only will your band be a color but you can pick the color of the watch face!  As you can see in my picture above it is very easy to take the face out of the watch band.  You just have to pull it out the back!

This is what it will look like once you have disassembled the watch.  SO EASY!

Then you just swap out the watch face for a different color and you have a brand new watch for a brand new outfit or mood!  I think it is a clever idea!

The watches I received are all circle but I love the look of their square watches as well.  Additional watch faces and watch bands are $14.99.  Buying a new watch is $24.99 but they give you PLENTY of chances to get coupons to bring down the total!  Want to learn how?

$15 Coupon Savings:

With those coupon savings above of $15 you will be getting a watch for about $10!  Not a bad deal at all!

And now to the really good part!  One reader is going to win 2 watches of any color and style they carry so long as they are in stock!  So you are going to get started with 4 watch combinations!

Pink Together General Mills #Giveaway Ends 10/22 #MyBlogSpark

The odds of you knowing someone who has been touched by breast cancer are pretty high.  I just found out someone I am very close with has cancer, not breast cancer but still.  The technology is advancing so much with each day that the word ‘cancer’ is a lot less scary now.

A couple of years back I took part of one of the breast cancer walks in Michigan and it was so great!  My favorite part to the whole walk was the ‘oasis’ they had only for the survivors.  If you weren’t a survivor you couldn’t go into this special tent with specials perks.  They also had the survivors walk in front of all the walkers according to the years that they have been a survivor.  It was so moving!

When you go to the Pink Together Facebook page and share a gift with a friend they will donate $1 to Susan G Komen For the Cure, up to $25,000!  This $25,000 is in addition to the $2 million they are already donating!  While you are there you can also share a picture or your story!

In this prize pack you are going to find a very interesting cookbook!  This cookbook is full of recipes for people going through cancer treatment and is designed by oncologists!  I am thrilled to be able to gift this to my family member who just was diagnosed with Cancer.

You can also visit Pink Together’s You Tube page and meet some survivors!

One reader is going to win a great General Mills prize pack:

  • A 16 oz. box of Total cereal

PumpEase Hands Free Pumping Bra Review @PumpEase

pumpease

So any Mom who has had to pump knows how much pumping sucks.  Having a new baby you are trying to breast feed, worrying about your milk supply, not sleeping enough and the list goes on and on.  Then you might also have a baby in NICU and can only pump to feed them when you visit.  Or you might already have kids running around your house that you need to tend to.  Whatever the case is, when you add pumping into the mix you are overloaded.

So there is a product invented by a Mom who has been there done that called PumpEase Hands Free Pumping Bra and it is a life saver.  I have a special situation and have to pump and dump A LOT!  You can only imagine how depressing it is to work hard pumping just to dump out the precious liquid gold!  I can’t tell you have often I have used this bra.  I have actually used it pumping on my way to the doctor’s so I get every last drop before I start dumping!

One of the best purchases I made was my Medela Freestyle because it is portable since you can use the battery instead of being plugged in.  So my fabulous pump with my PumpEase Bra allows me to pump in the car, pump while working on the computer, pump while doing chores and I imagine it would make tending to other children while pumping easier too!

  • It is a stretchy material so it moves with your body.
  • It holds the shields in place great
  • It keeps you ‘decent’ for public pumping
  • It snaps together like a normal bra does in the front for ease
  • They are cute! There are so many patterns to choose from
I know I mentioned that it holds the shields in place great but keep in mind if you are moving around or leaning forward too much it is naturally going to come away from your breasts and you will leak down your breasts.  This is a DUH moment but it happened to me when I wasn’t paying attention and reach down while sitting for something.
Here are two pictures of me wearing mine.  Don’t mind the less than stellar postpartum mid section please!

Would this make a great baby shower gift?  Yes it would!

I am actually composing a list of must have items and I will give it to all new Moms when I go to their showers from here on out.  The things I wish I would have known before the baby came.  I am learning everything the hard way I guess!  There are plenty of products out there that make life easier but not everyone knows about them!

 Buy PumpEase on Amazon

Another product from the same company is the TONI TOP!  I want want want one!  OMG nursing in public would be a breeze!  I am drooling at the concept of the Toni Top and maybe I will get to review it or Hubby will buy it for me!

I did receive a PumpEase to facilitate my review of the item.  All opinions are my own.

First Halloween Candy Shopping with 50 ft Party #CBias #KmartHalloween

kmart candy

So I am pretty excited that we are starting our first holiday season in our own house!  That means tubs of holiday decorations to start collecting!  That also means we actually have to purchase Halloween Candy!  That is a drag but that is just one more thing you do when you are a parent I guess!

Last night we went to Kmart to pick out the goods and perhaps come home with a decoration or two.  I almost found everything I was looking for!  I checked out their weekly circular online first and they had some candy sales and sales on their decorations so we decided to head in.  Butterfingers are by far my favorite candy so 2/$5 wouldn’t make me cry too much if there were leftovers.

I went to Kmart’s 50 ft Party site too and found a $1 off the monster bags of candy (limit 5) coupon!  I think I am dense or something because I didn’t find ‘monster candy’ while I was shopping.  I was looking and looking for something say monster candy and failed.  But I still got my treats!  You can also get 15% off all Halloween orders and FREE s/h on orders $39.99 and higher!

Print your coupon through this link.

This is what we ended up picking out and I am pleased with all the choices BUT Crunch!  I have no idea why Michael likes Crunch bars but I am giving those to the kids FIRST so I am not stuck with them!  We only bought 5 bags because we aren’t sure how busy the neighborhood will be.  My parents ALWAYS end up with bags and bags of candy because nobody ever comes to their house.  I am all prepared for the trick or treaters now with my spooky new candy bowl too!  There were about 5 good contenders at Kmart but I went with the one that won’t break and is still cute.  I am going back after the holiday to make a few more decoration purchases once the big clearance sale hits!

I was so happy that they also had their infant apparel on sale!  This onesie was 40% off and was only $5.99 to begin with.  When I was pregnant I got a really cute one for Little Mike and he is enormous and doesn’t fit in it so I was sad!  I just looked at Michael with my cute puppy eyes and said I had to have it!  He will be 3 months next week and I have to buy 6-9 month outfits!  Geez o Petes!

I was hoping to get more decorations while I was at Kmart but I just wasn’t into the Disney ones that they had.  I know I know I have a child now and everything is Disney but it doesn’t have to be!  They had Disney candy bowls, Disney door wreaths, Disney stand up decorations.  I want just normal Halloween decorations… ghosts etc.  They did have a scarecrow type decoration but it was too kiddy as well.  Something I just have to get used to?

So we picked out a spiderweb and the pretend webs to decorate the porch with!  That is a good start to a simply decorated porch.  I think simple can be much more appealing than just stacking a bunch of stuff on your porch and calling it a day!  Now their Thanksgiving pilgrims and such were adorable so I will be revisiting that next month!

So it turns out that once I got home from this trip I got a poem from a blogger and I am now going to make Boo Bags for Michael’s co workers!  So I am going back to Kmart to pick up their treat bags and more candy!  I will put up another post with that poem and my bags and maybe Michael will even take pictures of them on his co worker’s desks for me!  I am so excited to do this I almost want to go to his office myself!  Watch for a post with the same #KmartHalloween hashtag as this one because you won’t want to miss out!

Now I know how much everybody loves pictures- at least I do more than words.  So you should go look at my full shopping experience on Google+!  You can find the album through this link!

Motherhood: Secret Shopping With a Baby

This is a two part post.  I am writing before my shop and updating after I have completed my shop.  I figured that this would just be easier for any Moms out there to find the information if the before and after is just in one post.

Before:

I love secret shopping (mystery shopping) and it is a ton of work without a child but I am going to attempt the unspeakable and take my very well behaved child on a shop!  I am attempting a shop for a company that I have completed multiple times already so I remember the requirements in my sleep.  I do not recommend attempting a very complicated and new shop with an infant because that would defeat the whole concept of details details details.

I also want to point out that some of the shops will specifically state DO NOT BRING CHILDREN so be sure you are not breaking the rules!  It does make sense why you wouldn’t bring a little one but I have been doing this for years so I am not a spring chicken when it comes to shops.  That still doesn’t mean I don’t forget things on occasion but you aren’t anxious when you are past the newbie stage.

This shop consists of two parts: phone call and on site visit.  So I will be completing the phone call during a nap time or while he is sitting in his jumper play thing.  I am finally getting him to sit longer without me entertaining him so I can get some work done!  It isn’t very long that he stays entertained so I get the bare minimum of time to respond to a few emails to keep my work afloat.

After:

The shop went off without a hitch!  He was very well behaved and I wore him in my Moby carrier so I could have my hands free and keep him happy.  I don’t think anyone even thought twice about the fact that I was carting around my baby.  He sure does attract attention though!  That would be the only downfall to the whole idea of shopping, you don’t want to be remembered.  Everyone remembers a cute baby!

The hardest part for me was getting the report logged online in the time restraints.  Little Mike was a little cranky after being gone running errands all day so my first priority is to tend to his needs.  So I was lucky and my Husband came home and entertained him so I could get my information submitted from the shop!

I think it is possible to shop with an infant but I think you really have to be on top of your game.  You have to really know everything you are looking for so you don’t mess up.  I would have had a greater level of difficulty had he started to get fussy and need tending to.  You are the Mom so you can make the best decision for you and your family is what it boils down to.  I probably won’t do any girls clothing stores just because I wouldn’t be able to keep him in his carrier.

Zaycon Foods Chicken Review (FANTASTIC)

zaycon foods

Do you remember the Schwan Man delivering food to your house growing up? Yes I saw growing up because I am in my 20s!  I remember him bringing ice cream and other frozen meals.  Now there is my kind of delivery service for meats- Zaycon Foods!

I have posted quite a few chicken freezer meals in the past few months and all of the chicken in those recipes is from Zaycon Foods.  I do not know how to explain how over the top delicious these chicken breast are!  They even had my Husband saying “this is some good chicken”.

Sure everything tastes better fresh right when you get it BUT I also froze a bunch of it in my Food Saver bags and thawed it out and it was still delicious!  It was only dry when I really overcooked it and was 100% my fault!  Note to other freezer meal newbies: cooking whole chicken breasts, freezing them and cooking them to thaw them doesn’t make for the best chicken breast.  But the meals I mixed the chicken in and cut it up still tasted fine after I froze them.

Some Facts:

  • Zaycon sells chicken, beef, turkey, pork and fish
  • Our chicken comes fresh directly from the farm to our sales event and has never been frozen
  • Our chicken is 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients
  • We only sell our chicken breasts by the case. Each cardboard case weighs 40 lbs.
This is how you would pick up your chicken breasts!  When I got home it was easy to portion it off and freeze what we wouldn’t be eating right away.  (have I mentioned this chicken is delicious yet?)  Zaycon Foods is currently scheduling meat events and I should get a heads up for Michigan 2 weeks before they come visit so you know how much the chicken is costing and what the actual dates will be!
Michigan Cities:
  • Battle creek
  • Canton
  • Flint/Grand Blanc
  • Grand Rapids
  • Lansing
  • Sterling Heights
I recommend purchasing this chicken versus just going to the grocery store because the price was $1.49/lb at a previous event they had!  If you are saying to yourself ‘well I don’t have the room’ I suggest splitting it with your friends and family!  Everyone eats chicken!
Sign up for your Zaycon Foods account (free) through this link and wait for the dates for Michigan!!

Disclaimer: I received a case of chicken breasts in order to facilitate my review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Gazillion Bubbles Tour Dates & Cyclone Giveaway

bubble tour

So this weekend is going to be fun because the family is going to the Gazillion Bubble Show!  This show seems like it is going to be so much fun because everyone likes bubbles! The video I embedded in this post is full of colors and TONS OF BUBBLES!  I think Izzie is going to love it and Michael will have a ton to look at.  It’s all about stimulation right?!

The show is going to be here in Detroit this weekend (Oct 14-16) at the Fisher Auditorium and then in Hershey, PA Oct 21st and 22nd.  If you want to get tickets you can do so through this link.

From TONY Award-winning producer Jon B. Platt, (Wicked) Fan Yang shows us what earned him 16 Guinness World Records!!  I really can’t wait to see these giant bubbles for myself.  The pictures of the people inside the bubbles is pretty cool!  I will update you on my thoughts once I have been to the show and you can mark your calender for next year if you are a fellow Michigander!

Can’t make the show this weekend?  How about your enter to win your own Cyclone and make your own bubble show at home!

Walgreens Cottonelle Deal & Diapers

Here are my favorite deals at Walgreens this week.  You can see the full ad through this link.

Shopping tips:

    • Walgreens has a program called Register Rewards, RR.  These rewards print out at the end of your transaction and can be used on future purchases.  RRs are viewed as a coupon to the register and you are only allowed one coupon per item in your transaction.  You will want to add a small item to your purchase to prevent the beeping of the register.  You can always find .33 candies at the register if need be.
    • You are not able to ‘roll’ RRs from one deal into another of the same.  For example: if I get $4 RR for buying a razor I would not want to use that RR coupon on another purchase of a razor.  If I do that another RR coupon for $4 WILL NOT print out.  It is always beneficial to stagger transactions if you want multiple items (buy a razor in the first then buy another RR deal in the second and so on)
    • You are allowed to stack Walgreen’s coupons with manufacturer coupons.  You also will only need to give them one Walgreen’s coupon per transaction and it will take of the coupon value for each of the items in your transaction.  So if I am buying 4 packs of diapers and I have a $2 coupon it would deduct $8 on this order.

I just wanted to highlight two deals at Walgreens this week because diapers and toilet paper are rarely on sale enough to mention.  Really this is the perfect post for any pregnant woman because you pee a ton and need to stock up on diapers!  :)

A Few Kroger Deals This Week

  • Make sure to sign up for the Kroger card in store at the customer service desk.  When you get your card you can go home and load digital coupons to it through Cellfire or right on Kroger’s site.  These digital coupons may prevent you from using a paper coupon on an item because you are only allowed one coupon per item.
  • You can also set up your Kroger card to donate to a charity!  For example: I have my card connected to donate to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  You will also earn fuel points on your card that you can redeem at Shell stations to save money on gas.
  • My Kroger will double coupons up to $1 but the stores in Oakland County DO NOT.

Kroger’s sale is lame this week!  Hopefully you can skip a week or have a Meijer near your house because I think the prices are better there this week!

A Few Meijer Deals This Week

Meijer Tip:

    • If you are shopping at Meijer you should know about the mPerks electronic coupon program as well as their mealbox coupon program.  You can find mealbox coupons through this link.  Mealbox coupons can be stacked with regular manufacturer coupons and there isn’t a limit on how many you can use per transaction.  Mealbox coupons are printable and can’t be combined with the mPerks coupons.
    • You can sign up for Meijer’s digital coupons, mPerks, through this link.  These will be connected to your mobile phone and you just input your number at checkout.  You do have a limit of 80 digital coupons that you can load so I wouldn’t go through and add every couponthey are offering.  They even offer coupons on produce so you can get some fresh veggies at a discount!  Be sure to check in every Monday because they refresh coupons weekly to remove the expired ones and add new ones.
    • Meijer will double 2 of the same coupons up to .50.

FREE Huggies Body Suit

huggies

I know a lot of you collect Huggies rewards and you may or may not already know about the FREE Huggies Body suit with two Snug and Dry codes!  I wasn’t aware of the promotion until one of my girlfriends brought it to my attention.  She even told me that it didn’t deduct any points from her balance when she qualified for the outfit!

I have entered some Snug and Dry codes but it doesn’t look like the big boxes from Amazon are the correct codes.  I guess I will try out the codes from the jumbo packs when I eventually have to open some!  We are going on 3 months now without buying diapers!  Yippee :)
