So I am going to have a baby in 24 days and bottles were something I toyed with this whole pregnancy. What type of bottles do I use? I am all about asking other Mom’s their experiences and we did settle upon Dr Brown’s bottles. Then I got asked to help promote this new bottle that is very similar to a Mother’s Breast: BARE™ Air-Free Baby Bottles.
Priska Diaz is the Mom behind the development of this new bottle. Before I decided to post and help promote this project I went to real life Mom’s and asked them about their past experiences and how this product would measure up. The opinions of this bottle’s concept were very positive. I was happy to hear the positive feedback too because it means I had a good opinion too! :)

Personally, my favorite feature of the bottle is the nipple. If all goes well I do plan to breast feed and pump for as long as I can to feed the baby once it arrives. I keep hearing about ‘nipple confusion’ and how some Mom’s don’t want to give their babies pacifiers in the beginning. Well I believe that the extending nipple on this bottle is going to help with that!
The specially punctured Perfe-latch™ nipple works in synergy with tip extension and Air-plug™ action to only dispense milk upon suckling, like mother’s breast.
This bottle isn’t on the market yet but you can pre order your bottles through the Kickstarter program- through this link. The program is currently being funded for the December 2011 production and distribution to the financial backers. You can look forward to a small distribution of these bottles coming in January 2012. I personally have backed this project financially and I can’t wait to try my bottle once it arrives later this year!
I highly recommend checking out all of the facts on this bottle on the Kickstarter site as well because there are a lot of other benefits to this bottle that I didn’t highlight. I told you my favorite point and you should read up on it and do your own research as well. To help aid you in your research I have included some of my personal findings from veteran Mom’s.
- One thing is the nipple…how it lengthens when baby sucks. VERY similar to breast. I think you will find (OK, hope we are all women here…lol) that your nipples will be elongated after nursing.
- These looks like a great product. I like the way the shape of the nipple is so similar the real deal. My daughter was bottle picky when it was time for me to go back to work.
- I like the concept but with bottles, etc. you really have to try them because it depends on the baby just as much as the product itself. But like I said, I like the concept!
