When we found out we were pregnant I jumped on the chance to review some pretty awesome baby items! This is our first child and neither of us have any idea what is good and what isn’t good for us to have and do when it comes to the baby. I had so many reproductive issues when I was younger that I once begged my Doctor to take my uterus out! Obviously he knew that wasn’t a good idea and refused to do that! So I want to highlight some really great companies throughout the pregnancy to maybe help out other totally clueless soon to be Mommy!
This month I am going to feature:
- Tutortogs Giveaway Ends 1/2/11
- Johnson’s & Johnson’s Natural products Ends 1/2/11
- Born Free Giveaway Ends 1/2/11
- Help My Baby Came Without Instructions Giveaway Ends 1/2/11
- Dentek Floss Picks
Tutortogs is a great concept for some of my worries. Having Multiple Sclerosis does worry me some when I think about will my child have it down the road? Then I remember that there is only a 2% chance of it being a genetic thing. THEN I think well my Mother has it as well so who knows what is going to happen.
Given their early visual abilities, babies prefer high-contrast edges and patterns (black and white) and later become aware of colors (e.g. red and yellow). As the eyes, brain and body develop, the ability to perceive different shades, track movement, and discern small objects develops. By age one, depth perception is complete, and by age two, so is normal visual acuity. A healthy child’s total optic infrastructure is fully mature by age three.
I was sent two shirts for myself to wear and 1 for the baby to wear. You can check out their full line of products through this link!

The shirts were a great quality when I received them and I was excited to wear them when I got them! The shirts are made with 95% cotton and 5% spandex. They have other designs too and are all attractive to me. An added bonus to the shirts is that you also get some flash cards to help visually stimulate them. I just feel a little better knowing that I could be helping that much more by taking the patterns and colors into mind.

Not only does this infant gown match my Mommy shirt but it’s another way for the baby to see the patterns. I have no idea if I will think the gown is convenient but I can only assume that not having to pull pants up and down to change the baby’s diaper is going to be a time saver!
When I learned about this company I rethought my nursery colors a bit and I am thinking we are going to skip the pastel green and go with bolder colors. Here is a video from their website of a little one playing with the flash cards in his little outfit.

I liked the classic striped shirt and the polka dot one. I am not sure that either pattern would look good in XL though over and across my chest ! LOL !
